Tom Fischbach

Artist and writer Tom Fischbach lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he produces an online manga/webcomic titled TwoKinds. Born on July 28, 1987 in Massachusetts, he grew up living with his Korean mother and American father. After spending a short time in Hawaii due to his father's military service, Fischbach and his family moved to Ohio, where he has lived ever since.
Following the painful divorce of his parents, Fischbach began writing in 1998, and in 2001 produced one of the first drafts for TwoKinds. Deciding to pick up drawing, Fischbach changed his book into a comic in early 2003. On October of the same year, TwoKinds made its first appearance on the internet. Starting off slow, Twokinds gradually grew larger, acquiring a small fanbase as time went on. After a year on the web, the website began drawing in an average of 2 million hits per month. It is now occupying the 6th slot in the top 100 webcomics of all time, hosted at [topwebcomics.com].
According to Fischbach, "I was greatly inspired by a lot of the original webcomics out there. I thought it was fascinating, and immediately tried my hand at artwork. I had believed it would be the fastest way to get my name out there, and today I can say I was right. Although I still have a lot to learn, I hope these experiences will help me in the future and aid me in my writing."
